New Delhi, Dec 16 Saurav Ghosal's title defence got off to a flying start with the top seed blanking Divyanshu Sharma in straight sets in the first round of the Senior National squash championship here today.
Ghosal hardly strained his sinew as he chalked out a comprehensive 11-3 11-0 11-6 win over his opponent from Uttar Pradesh.
Among others, local favourite Gaurav Nandrajog blew away Ishaan Ahmed (UP) 11-0 11-1 11-2, Sandeep Jangra of SSB swept aside Anuj Seigal of Delhi 11-8 11-2 11-2 while Harinder Pal Singh prevailed over Vickey Gagat 11-3 11-5 11-6. - (Agencies)
